I attended the Style Class without any expectations about the class but high expectations for myself. What I learned was I must rid myself of those expectations because each job will be different and all people involved will be different so I cannot hold any expectation except to do what the classes and extended will train me to do. I learned that I need to be open and quickly adjust to many different scenarios so my job is to learn the techniques and build my skills to be successful at an audition. I’m so grateful for Style Inc and Tina putting her knowledge and skills to work to teach and guide  me to be a Professionally Trained Talent.

I enjoyed the class. It was informative. I learned many new things, like walking, positioning, and character development. Although I felt a little intimidated at first bc of my age, Tina made me realize that we can be marketable no matter what doubts we have, my age for example. I leaned that we make our own success by practicing, and doing what Urban teaches.

Competing in bodybuilding has definately taught me to own the stage, make eye contact with judges, and to get rid of nervous ticks. I still have them but I am more aware and can control it better than I have in the past. To me, being a professionally trained talent is an extension of what I’ve learned competing. It’s exciting doing new things and especially if I can earn money doing so.

I am looking forward to new orientation next week after I get back from San Diego.

Thank you.

The Style Inc. workshop was definitely more informative and helpful than I anticipated. I still think that some of the talking could have been cut down and the class could have been shorter. But I did appreciate the time we had to practice and fine tune our walks, turns, expressions, and poses. I think it was a good basis for continued practice and confidence building.
